My two best friends when I was growing up used to go to gorgeous far flung vacation destinations every year and I can’t even begin to tell you how jealous I was when they would come back with photos galore of all kinds of wonderful activities — especially them hanging out with dolphins in Cancun where they used to go quite regularly.
They never invited me to go with them for some reason, I never did quite understand why as if they had asked I would have bitten their hands off to go. They were good friends, our families all got a long and didn’t usually exclude me from things. One of life’s mysteries.
I’m an adult now and have still never actually been able to interact with any dolphins. It’s still on my list of life dreams though — along with millions of other people probably, it’s a pretty common dream but that’s because dolphins are such majestic creatures, it’s no wonder every one want to be close to them.
