I freaked out a few days ago when the lights wouldn’t work, I woke up and heard this strange crackling noise which I though didn’t sound good — I got out of bed and when I turned my light it it was not working, I tried the light in the hallways and that also did not work! So at this point I am worried thinking that the electricity is broken, the crackling noise and no lights must mean something really major is wrong — I started panicking about electrician costs because we are really only just keeping our heads above water at the moment, we can’t afford any unexpected bills at all.
I called my husband who was already at work and told him about the noise and the lights, then he asked me what that noise was in the background and I told him it was the television.
As soon as I said it I realised I’d just make a fool of myself, if the television was on then obviously the electricity was working! It was just a pure coincidence that two of our bulbs, the two I tried to turn on, had blown over night.
Oh dear.
