Watching episodes of Top Chef makes me want to look up chef schools and learn how to do it myself – I am a terrible cook, I always have been. I burn toast and blow things up in the microwave so the idea of being an actual skilled chef is some what comical to me. I don’t think I could ever be a briliant chef like many on the show, but I know that any one can learn to cook if they are willing and able to – imagine the surprise of my friends and family if after 30 years on this planet I announced I was going to cook for them and actually did a half decent job of it. There would certainly be a lot of shocked faces around!
I think maybe I might ask for some lessons at a cooking school for Christmas, there is nothing else I really want this year any way so why not? Though that would then ruin the element of surprise as whoever bought them for me would know about it already.
I’ve only seen the last 2 seasons of Top Chef so far, but have the first 4 on DVD ready and waiting to be watched as well
