When I was in the UK visiting family recently I went to several towns and cities across the country, we’d been lucky enough to grab some bargain hotel rooms (£1 – £9!!) so we went to some very random places – we went to some nice places like Liverpool and went on the big wheel they had there and visited the Beatles museum. We also went to Peterborough for some shopping in the Queensgate shopping centre and a play in the Quicksilver Peterborough arcade. We also went to Newcastle and let some flying lanterns off on the beach 
We also went to some not so great places, like Wakefield and Bradford which were both total dumps to be honest – but the rooms only cost £1 and both were near to where my parents live so it was still an experience worth taking!
