We went to the casino the other night with the guys from my husbands work, they go all the time and we used to go with them quite often but had not been for many years.
I’d never become a member myself, I just went as the guest of one of our friends so when we were signing in they had to check my details – the guy behind the desk looked at me about 5 times and said he couldn’t believe that I was the same person as the one in the picture they had under my details. He showed it to me and sure enough it was me, but from about 6 years ago when I weighed 100 pounds more than I do now! I looked awful, wow. It was a nice reminder of how far I’ve come though and they have now taken a new picture of me for their records lol
We don’t really play the Casino games much ourselves to be honest, neither of us are big gamblers – we just go to be social and because it’s one of only a handful of places that are actually open in the wee small hours when we like being out and about. We also go for the free food – because the people we go with do gamble a lot there they amass huge amounts of loyalty points which can be used on food and drink so they always treat us to something delicious. My husband gets a steak and I usually have a big delicious ice cream sundae YUM!
