I felt like a total newbie earlier last week when I had to try and find decent ecommerce web hosting for the new website being created at work. I have been running websites myself for over ten years now but they’ve always just been little sites – as long as the up time is good and they offer at least 100 gigs of bandwidth and space then I am good to go, the only other thing to consider is the price.
But when it comes to ecommerce hosting there’s so much more to think about, price becomes less important because up time and support are key – we don’t want anything going wrong but if it does we want fast and professional support – so whatever the price if it’s going to be a great service it’s worth paying a little more for.
Thankfully there are loads of sites out there these days that help you compare hosts and read real user reviews of them so as soon as I found myself one of those I was ready for action
