I am OK with that really though, because I really did take my foot off the pedal and splurged — given how my body is used to eating I am surprised I didn’t gain more.

My hope now is that the change will give my metabolism a boost and that the 3lbs will drop straight back off again, a long with many more pounds.

I am officially back on the wagon.

Good diet and daily work outs here I come.

I also successfully managed to cook Christmas dinner, OK so I took some short cuts — I didn’t actually roast a turkey, just used frozen Chicken breast fillets, but still…it all came out great and considering I can’t cook that’s quite an achievement.

I am just sad it’s all over now, but am looking forward to the January sales where hopefully we can get some new furniture and appliances for the new house at bargain basement prices

Hubby and I have just finished exchanging gifts, he loved every thing that I got him and I loved what he got me — a beautiful watch and necklace. Aren’t I spoiled?

Now, off to try and make Christmas dinner for the first time ever hehe. I don’t think this is going to go too well, I struggle to make even the basics

I have got my husband some really great gifts, I don’t want to say what exactly here as he might read this…shhh…but I got him so many great bargains that even though I have not spent a lot on him I know he will be thrilled and it will take a good while for him to open every thing

I am excited also because I have no idea what he is getting me, he says it’s a surprise

So putting them up this year was a real treat.

It’s nothing spectacular but it’s ours…for now any way, I hope to buy a new one in the January sales
